Abbey was double clean on both her Hi Childrens mounts Friday, Lillie was 6th in the M&S Ch Medal, Abbey had a great round in the Hunter Prix, Brit placed 3rd in her regular Low Ad class, and then came through in the rain with a 4th in the Low Ad Classic! SWS welcomes "Undercover"!

Salt Water Stables would like to welcome "Undercover" to the barn. Congratulations Lillie Klein on your new lease for the Ocala winter circuit. "UC", as he is known, is owned by Virginia and Katie Cardenas. Special thanks to them for such a wonderful opportunity! Look for Lillie and Undercover at HITS this season!

Strong finish to PreHITS...

Abbey Slaven rode "Viatar" to a 9th place finish on Sunday in the final leg of the Marshall Sterling Ch/Ad Championship Challenge. Abbey went clean in the first round, joining 11 others to jump-off for the ribbons. She had a rail in the jump-off, but ended up the fastest 4 faulter. Congratulations Abbey on a job well done!

Slaven kicks off PreHITS for SWS!

Abbey Slaven showed "Viatar" in the 1st and 2nd legs of the Ch/ Ad Jumper Championship series @ PreHITS this past weekend. "Viatar" is new to Abbey, so Friday was a bit of a learning day; the pair completed the course but had a few rails. Sunday proved to be much more successful landing them just barely out of the ribbons with a 4 fault score. Abbey is excited about a chance at the top ribbons next week in the 3rd and 4th legs.

Preparing for HITS was fun @ Broadmoor...

Several of the SWS riders attended the Broadmoor Equestrian Jumper show this past Saturday, Jan 14th. It was a very successful day -- brought home lots of great ribbons, had a few fabulous rounds and got through some tough schooling issues. The show comes highly recommended from us! It was laid back, very inexpensive and a fantastic way to prepare for the upcoming winter circuit. Great job Ashley Viands, Alex Draper and Abbey Slaven. Kayla Chapman and Britanni Zacco tagged along for the schooling experience too!

Great end to a fabulous weekend...

Lillie Klein ended up 1st in her .95m Jumper class on Sunday. Olivia was 7th in the $1000 1.0m Stakes, and moved "Taya" up to the 1.10m class, which went very well. Abbey was 3rd in the $1500 1.10m Ch/Ad Stakes class on "Viatar", taking home good prize money in the final class of the day! I'm so proud of all my horses and riders - they all did an amazing job this weekend. Time to begin thinking about winter circuit...I can't believe HITS begins in 30 days!

Fantastic day at RMI Ocala!

SWS had a fabulous day at the show! Ashley Viands and "Anthony" moved into the 1.0m Lows, which went extremely well. Lillie Klein was very successful on her catch ride, "All About Me", placing 5th in the .95s. Abbey Slaven showed both her mounts in the 1.0m Lows, placing on Viatar in the second class. Olivia Dodd and "Taya" were super stars...so great we are moving her into the 1.10m class tomorrow. Good luck in the stakes classes tomorrow ladies!
